Ali Değer, an electronics technician based in Ankara, has specialized in the repair and maintenance of both analog and digital cameras. His interest in photography began in childhood in Beyşehir, sparked by a camera gifted by his father, who was an amateur photographer.

After leaving his studies in geological engineering at Ankara University, Değer worked as an electronics technician in a military factory. This technical background, combined with a curiosity about how cameras function, led him to master the craft of camera repair. He has spent over 50 years engaged with photography and has repaired thousands of devices from various eras and manufacturers worldwide.

Değer has operated his workshop in the Kızılay district of Ankara for over 10 years. He views cameras as more than mere technical tools, describing them as devices that maintain a unique bond with people by witnessing their lives.
