Ali Kutluer maintains 51-year beekeeping tradition in Bursa

Ali Kutluer, a resident of the İnegöl district in Bursa, has practiced beekeeping for 51 years. The family tradition began when his father, Ömer Kutluer, started using honey to manage an ulcer diagnosis.

Kutluer currently manages 60 hives located at the foothills of Uludağ, housing approximately 1.2 million worker bees. The bees forage on more than 80 different types of plants to produce natural black comb honey.

A defining characteristic of this production is the use of natural black combs, where bees build their own structures within hollowed tree trunks without the use of artificial combs.
