Ali Muhyiddin el-Karadaği proposes Islamic United Nations
Ali Muhyiddin el-Karadaği, President of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, has proposed the establishment of an ‘Islamic United Nations’ to promote international peace and security. Speaking at the 13th International Bediüzzaman Symposium in Istanbul, el-Karadaği emphasized that the global community must act in unity to provide collective solutions to humanity's humanitarian, moral, and faith-based crises.
The symposium, themed ‘Quranic Solutions to Global Crises,’ brought together academics, scholars, and thinkers from 60 countries across five continents. Attendees included Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz and President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Safi Arpaguş. El-Karadaği argued that because the world has become a ‘small village,’ the challenges faced are shared by all of humanity, necessitating practical steps toward intellectual unity based on the Quran and Sunnah that encompass science, production, and innovation.
