Alia Shawkat denies Brad Pitt romance rumors

Actress Alia Shawkat has addressed long-standing dating rumors involving actor Brad Pitt. During an appearance on ‘Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen’, Shawkat clarified that she and Pitt are simply friends.

Shawkat explained that the pair were introduced by filmmaker Spike Jonze. She noted that the rumors often stemmed from their proximity to one another, stating, “Everyone thought we were dating, because if you stand next to him, everyone thinks you’re dating.”

Shawkat also reflected on a ‘really bad photo’ of the two that appeared on a ‘Us Weekly’ magazine cover, which fueled public speculation. She joked about her grandmother’s excitement regarding the tabloid coverage despite her long career in the film industry.
