Şafak Sezer returns to theater with ‘Karanlıkta Kumpas’ in Aliağa

The interactive play ‘Karanlıkta Kumpas’ made its premiere in Aliağa, İzmir, as part of the third annual Aliağa Art Days. The production marks the return of actor Şafak Sezer to the theater stage after a 20-year hiatus.

Written by Ali Erkan Ersezer and directed by Ebru Kara, the play features a cast including Şebnem Özinal, Zeynep Kankonde, and Özgür Özgülgün. The story centers on a murder occurring in an isolated farmhouse during a severe snowstorm. The production utilizes an interactive format where audience members act as part of the investigation, questioning suspects and evaluating clues to influence the play's final outcome.

Following the performance, Aliağa Mayor Serkan Acar presented flowers to the cast and thanked the performers for their contribution to the festival.
