Sport Boys and Alianza Lima draw 1-1 in Torneo Clausura match

Sport Boys and Alianza Lima played to a 1-1 draw at the Estadio Nacional during the fourth round of the Torneo Clausura. Jostin Alarcón opened the scoring for Sport Boys in the 27th minute after a skillful play that beat defender Esteban Pavez. Alianza Lima secured the equalizer in the 65th minute through Federico Girotti.

The match was marked by controversial officiating. Sport Boys had two goals disallowed by referee Bruno Pérez following VAR reviews: one for a handball by Luis Urruti and another for offside. Urruti expressed frustration, claiming the referee told him the handball was only called because he was the scorer.

Following the match, Sport Boys defender Carlos Zambrano noted that while he misses Alianza Lima, he is happy with the progress and confidence at Boys. Additionally, former player Jefferson Farfán praised Oslimg Mora’s performance, calling him the player of the match.
