Alianza Lima gears up for Torneo Clausura with Federico Girotti scoring in friendlies

Alianza Lima held two intra‑season friendlies on 4 July against FBC Melgar, ending 3‑3 and 2‑2. Argentine forward Federico Girotti scored in the first match, confirming a strong run ahead of the Torneo Clausura launch. Coach Pablo Guede used the games to assess squad depth, with goals also coming from Eryc Castillo, Geray Motta and Melgar’s Zegarra and Tandazo.

The club’s next preparation will be an international friendly versus Deportivo Cali on 12 July. A day earlier, on 5 July, Alianza Lima drew 2‑2 with league rivals Sporting Cristal. Alianza’s goals were both netted by Brando Paladines, while Sporting Cristal’s scores came from Jair Moretti and José María Mellán.
