Alianza Lima loses American player Taylor Fricano to Greek club

American volleyball player Taylor Fricano has left the Peruvian club Alianza Lima shortly before the start of the 2026-27 Peruvian Volleyball League. Fricano, an opposite hitter, had participated in preseason friendlies and was presented during the club’s ‘Noche Blanquiazul Vóley’ event.

According to reports from ‘Puro Vóley’, Fricano has already signed with the Greek team AO Thiras. Her departure comes despite recent meniscus discomfort that prevented her from participating in all preseason matches. Fricano’s previous professional experience includes stints in the United States, South Korea, Romania, France, Italy, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic.
