Alianza Opita youth football program thrives under coach Rubén Suárez

Alianza Opita continues to develop one of the region's most prominent grassroots football projects, focusing on its sub‑8 category. Under the direction of coach Rubén Suárez, the team trains with a blend of discipline, pedagogy and motivation, emphasizing technical, tactical and personal growth.

The program builds on foundations laid by professor Cardoso and has already shown competitive promise, notably at a recent tournament in Melgar where the youngsters displayed organization, confidence and improvement against schools from other parts of Colombia. Looking ahead to the 2026 season, the club aims to further strengthen the players' skills, teamwork and values, positioning Huila as a notable hub for youth football development.
