Alibaba Cloud recognized as leader in Gartner Container Management report

Alibaba Cloud has been named a leader in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Container Management, marking its fourth consecutive year in the leadership quadrant. It is the only technology company in the Asia-Pacific region to receive this distinction.

Gartner highlighted Alibaba Cloud’s strengths in AI integration, comprehensive functional coverage, and widespread use in demanding production environments. As the market shifts from standard Kubernetes adoption to large-scale production, container platforms are increasingly required to manage diverse workloads, including AI model training, inference, and Agent-based applications.

To support these needs, Alibaba Cloud has upgraded its Container Service for Kubernetes (ACK) and introduced the Agent Sandbox. These tools aim to provide the necessary infrastructure for the full AI lifecycle, offering features such as high-concurrency sandbox creation, efficient heterogeneous computing scheduling, and optimized inference throughput. Real-world applications include supporting large-scale model training for Moonshot AI and providing infrastructure for the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics website.
