Alibaba Group shares and tokenised assets rise amid RWA interest

Alibaba Group Holding Limited and its related tokenised assets have seen recent upward movement. Alibaba Group's stock price rose 3.2% during Monday trading, reaching a high of $132.57.

Simultaneously, Alibaba Tokenised bStocks (BABAB) increased by 1.5% to $131.2, moving independently of a decline in Bitcoin. This rise is attributed to surging sector-wide interest in tokenised real-world assets (RWAs). The broader tokenised RWA sector has reached a $38.17 billion milestone, with monthly transfer volumes for tokenised stocks increasing by 138.45% to $20.72 billion.

BABAB experienced a significant spike in 24-hour trading volume, increasing by over 1250% to $10.3 million. Analysts maintain a generally positive outlook on Alibaba Group, with several major institutions including JPMorgan Chase & Co., Morgan Stanley, and Susquehanna having issued price target increases or overweight ratings.
