Alibaba launches QwenWork International AI agent platform

Alibaba has launched the international public beta of QwenWork, an AI agent platform designed to automate complex workplace tasks across web and desktop environments. The platform integrates three previous services—QoderWork, MuleRun, and Wukong—into a single interface that can navigate websites, operate local desktop applications, and execute multi-step workflows via natural-language instructions.

Targeting users in Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America, the platform offers Standard and Advanced model tiers. The Standard tier utilizes the Qwen3.8 Flash model, which Alibaba claims doubles processing speeds while reducing token consumption by 75 percent. The desktop application includes an opt-in feature called ‘Awareness,’ which allows the AI to remember user preferences, project contexts, and working styles across different sessions.

Beyond general task automation, QwenWork includes tools for non-technical users to build and deploy static websites, complete with hosting and database setup. The platform also supports multimodal content creation, including the generation and interpretation of images, audio, and video, as well as document research and file analysis.
