Alibaba Qwen and XGIMI launch new AI smart glasses
The smart glasses market is seeing a shift toward AI-driven personal agents as manufacturers attempt to move beyond simple photography and translation features to address daily usability.
Alibaba Qwen has launched its new N1 and N1 Pro AI glasses, which prioritize a lightweight, screenless design to improve all-day comfort. The N1 Pro weighs approximately 44g and features a 50-megapixel sensor, eye-tracking, and vital sign sensors. To manage power consumption, Qwen utilizes a low-power 5-milliwatt continuous visual perception link that monitors environmental changes to trigger high-performance chips only when necessary. This system is designed to help the AI understand real-world context while maintaining privacy through user-authorized grayscale frame capture.
Simultaneously, XGIMI has announced the pre-sale of its MemoMind One AI display glasses, priced at a starting rate of 2699 yuan. Unlike many competitors, this model features a camera-less design to enhance privacy. It offers binocular display, real-time translation for 53 languages, and AI-driven memory functions that can summarize meetings and organize personal schedules. The device is tuned by Harman and offers up to 16 hours of battery life, weighing between 46.6g and 48.5g.
