Regional developments across Spain involve municipal funding and infrastructure works

Various regional and municipal developments are occurring across Spain. In Alicante, the Diputación has approved a 25 million euro 'Bono Consumo' program to support local commerce across 125 municipalities. Meanwhile, the Diputación de Málaga has authorized 32 million euros in additional economic support for its municipalities, prioritizing those with fewer than 25,000 inhabitants.

In Alcoi, the rehabilitation of the Llotja de Sant Jordi has begun, necessitating the temporary relocation of Antoni Miró exhibitions to IVAM CADA. In Barcelona, the municipal council is set to debate increasing tourist taxes for cruise passengers and raising property taxes (IBI) for luxury hotels.

Infrastructure and political shifts are also noted: roadworks on the C-28 at Port de la Bonaigua will result in daily nine-hour traffic restrictions until spring to ensure structural stability. Politically, Ferran Lloret Morell has been unanimously elected as the Compromís candidate for the 2027 mayoralty of Pedreguer, succeeding Sergi Ferrús. Additionally, the translation firm Ofilingua SL, which faced scrutiny during the Roger Español trial, has been identified as having received over 4 million euros in contracts from the Generalitat de Catalunya.
