Alicante assault leaves 27-year-old man in critical condition
A 27-year-old man is in critical condition in the intensive care unit of the Hospital General Universitario Doctor Balmis in Alicante following a violent altercation. The incident occurred early Thursday morning at the Campo de Golf TRAM stop in Playa de San Juan.
According to reports, the victim suffered a traumatic brain injury after allegedly being kicked in the head during a dispute. The victim experienced cardiac arrest at the scene but was successfully resuscitated by SAMU medical teams.
A 22-year-old man has been detained by the National Police and is awaiting judicial proceedings. Investigators are working to determine the cause of the argument between the two Spanish nationals, who reportedly did not know each other prior to the incident.
