The Alicante coast in Spain offers diverse natural and historical attractions, ranging from coastal hiking routes to ancient Roman archaeological sites.

In the Marina Alta region, the Ruta de los Acantilados provides a 9-kilometer path through Benitatxell. The route features limestone cliffs, Mediterranean vegetation, and geological formations such as the Cova dels Arcs and the Falla del Moraig. The trail leads to Cala del Moraig, a 300-meter gravel beach known for its turquoise waters.

In Calp, near the Peñón de Ifach, the Baños de la Reina archaeological site offers a unique blend of history and recreation. This Roman site consists of pools excavated into the rock along the shoreline. While local legend suggests they were private baths for a Moorish queen, experts believe the basins were likely used for fish farming or salt trade activities, though they may have also served recreational purposes.
