Alicante leaders advocate for AI integration in healthcare and business

During the IX International Congress of Artificial Intelligence in Alicante, regional leaders and experts discussed the integration of AI into public and private sectors. Juanfran Pérez Llorca, President of the Generalitat, advocated for an AI model focused on innovation with purpose, specifically to enhance healthcare, emergency services, and administrative efficiency in the Valencian Community.

Pérez Llorca emphasized that technology must serve people rather than replace human judgment, particularly in sensitive areas like social services and health. He stressed the necessity of transparency, responsibility, and human supervision to maintain public trust.

Complementing this perspective, Andrés Pedreño, co-founder of 1MillionBot, encouraged business leaders to view AI as a business opportunity rather than a cost. Pedreño highlighted the evolution of AI toward agentic or autonomous systems characterized by reasoning capabilities, memory, and optimization skills, urging organizations to embrace these tools to drive growth.
