Galicia's PPdeG demands more funding for migrant minor care
The PPdeG political group in the Galician Parliament has called on the central government to increase funding for the care of unaccompanied migrant minors. Raquel Arias, the group's spokesperson for Social Policy, presented a non-legislative motion arguing that current financial contributions to Galicia have dropped to 740,000 euros, representing an 82% decrease from the previous year.
Arias emphasized that “there is no solidarity without resources” and urged for better planning and coordination between the central government and autonomous communities. She criticized the current administration's management of minors in Ceuta, accusing the central government of “improvisation” and failing to provide an adequate response to the humanitarian situation.
