Alicante municipalities receive limited agricultural road subsidies

The Valencian Department of Agriculture has approved subsidies for road improvements in seven municipalities within the province of Alicante. However, 32 other municipalities were excluded from the funding due to budget constraints.

La Unió has criticized the decision, noting that the total amount requested by local governments exceeded the available 4 million euro budget. The organization has called for a 4 million euro increase in funding to ensure that no town is left behind. They argue that poor road conditions negatively impact agricultural and livestock activities in rural areas.

The seven municipalities receiving aid are Benimarfull, Gaianes, Hondón de las Nieves, Pedreguer, Sagra, Sella, and Tàrbena.
