Alicante police arrest man for selling counterfeit mobile phones

The Spanish National Police have arrested a 20-year-old man in Alicante for allegedly selling counterfeit high-end mobile phones through a second-hand digital marketplace.

The suspect reportedly sold replicas for prices between 800 and 900 euros. To deceive buyers, he provided forged purchase invoices to falsely certify the authenticity of the devices. The investigation, which covered frauds in Alicante and Castellón, revealed a total economic loss exceeding 3,400 euros. The arrests followed several complaints from victims who discovered the devices were replicas only after paying in cash during in-person meetings.
