Disney+ and Hulu renew ‘Alice and Steve’ for second season

Alice and Steve Disney+ Hulu series renewal British comedy

Disney+ and Hulu have officially renewed the British comedy-drama series ‘Alice and Steve’ for a second season. The show, which stars Nicola Walker and Jemaine Clement, follows the deteriorating friendship between two long-term companions after one begins dating the other's adult daughter.

Following a first season that received critical acclaim and multiple awards at Canneseries, the renewal comes amid significant viewer discussion regarding the season one cliffhanger. Series creator and writer Sophie Goodhart expressed enthusiasm for the continuation, stating, “No one will be prepared for what happens next, especially not Alice and Steve.”

While a specific premiere date has not been announced, the second season is expected to explore further complexities in the characters' relationships. The series will continue to stream on Disney+ in the UK and Ireland, and on both Disney+ and Hulu in the United States.
