Alice Hirose to star in ‘Please Save My Earth’ live-action drama

Prime Video has announced a live-action drama adaptation of Saki Hiwatari’s acclaimed science fiction manga, ‘Please Save My Earth’. The series is scheduled for exclusive global release in autumn 2027 across more than 240 countries and regions.

Alice Hirose will star as Karen, a key figure in the story. The production will be directed by Takahiro Miki, known for his emotive visual style. To bring the manga’s ambitious setting to life, including the moon base and space environments, the production company THE SEVEN will utilize advanced VFX technology.

The original manga, which ran from 1986 to 1994, has surpassed 16 million copies in circulation. The story follows high school students grappling with memories of their past lives as scientists on a lunar base. Original author Saki Hiwatari is involved in the project as a supervisor through the scriptwriting stage.
