Alice Lotti unveils

Artist and illustrator Alice Lotti has completed a new mural titled "Rinascita" (Rebirth) in Faenza, Italy. Located on the facade of ceramicist Lidia Carlini's studio in via della Croce, the artwork serves as a symbolic response to the devastating floods that struck the area on May 16, 2023.

The mural features a large open hand supporting a house, topped with a blooming flower that references a ceramic vase, honoring both the local ceramic tradition and the building's occupant. This project is part of the "Impronte di Solidarietà" initiative organized by the association Distretto A. The program uses urban art to help communities reclaim and transform spaces damaged by the flood emergency, aiming to create an open-air museum across Faenza, Modigliana, and Tredozio.

Mayor Massimo Isola noted that the intervention confirms how urban art can serve as a tool for collective processing and landscape reading, contributing to Faenza's status as a UNESCO Creative City.
