Alicia Hanin disappearance: Son launches investigation into 2002 cold case

Adrian Hoffman has launched a personal investigation into the 2002 disappearance of his mother, Alicia ‘Krsangi’ Hanin, a model who vanished in South Florida over two decades ago.

Hanin, who was 24 at the time, disappeared on January 6, 2002, after leaving the Shore Club hotel on Collins Avenue in Miami Beach to get food in the early morning hours. Her disappearance was not reported to police until 21 days later. In 2008, Miami Beach detectives reportedly informed the family they suspected Hanin had died a violent death, yet no charges have ever been filed.

Born in India and raised in California, Hanin was staying in Miami when she vanished. Hoffman, who was only three years old when his mother disappeared, returned to Florida in August to reconstruct her final steps and speak with investigators in an effort to find closure.
