Alicia Silverstone celebrates 50th birthday

Actress Alicia Silverstone is celebrating her 50th birthday on October 4. She rose to international fame in the 1990s, most notably for her breakout role as Cher Horowitz in the 1995 teen comedy ‘Clueless’.

Following her early success, Silverstone transitioned through various stages of her career, including roles in independent films, theater, and Broadway. She has also expanded her work beyond acting to become an author and environmental activist. Reflecting on her career, she noted that the period following her initial success was a stressful time where she approached her work more intellectually rather than intuitively.
