Alidu Seidu linked to OGC Nice on potential loan deal

OGC Nice is in discussions to sign Ghanaian defender Alidu Seidu from Stade Rennais on a loan deal with an option to buy. The move is being pursued as a medical joker following a serious knee injury to Antoine Mendy, which has left the Nice defense depleted.

Seidu, 26, has reportedly expressed his willingness to join Nice to secure more playing time after being sidelined from the Stade Rennais professional group. While Rennes previously sought approximately 10 million euros for a permanent transfer, the current negotiations focus on a temporary move.

Negotiations are ongoing, with the finalization of the deal potentially depending on budgetary approval from Ineos, the club's owner. Seidu is considered a versatile option for Nice, capable of playing in both a three-man defense and as a right-back.
