Alien Chicks release new EP ‘Toys Taken At Birth’

Brixton-based post-punk trio Alien Chicks have released their fourth EP, ‘Toys Taken At Birth’, via Alcopop! Records. The release follows a period of significant momentum for the band, including performances at festivals such as Iceland Airwaves and Mutations Festival.

The EP features tracks including ‘Madmen’, described as an anti-establishment anthem, and a cover of Missy Elliot’s ‘Get Ur Freak On’, which featured cameos from former Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn. Other notable tracks include ‘5/4’, ‘Now I’m Big’, and ‘I Killed Uncle Ben’. The band has indicated that the project explores themes of injustice and the dystopian realities of modern power structures.

To support the release, the band has scheduled a UK in-store run and a European tour this autumn, with further UK and EU dates planned for February 2027.
