Alienware AW3226Q 4K OLED monitor features Tandem technology
Alienware has released the AW3226Q, a 32-inch 4K UHD gaming monitor featuring advanced Tandem OLED technology. The display utilizes an RGB stripe sub-pixel structure, which places red, green, and blue pixels directly adjacent to one another. This design avoids the use of traditional white sub-pixels, resulting in improved brightness, enhanced color volume, and significantly sharper text rendering by eliminating color fringing.
The Tandem OLED architecture employs multiple stacked layers to increase overall luminance while reducing the stress on individual pixels, which helps mitigate the risk of screen burn-in. To support this, Alienware provides a three-year warranty that explicitly covers burn-in issues.
The monitor features a 165 Hz refresh rate and a 16:9 aspect ratio. Its design is noted for a minimalist aesthetic with a compact rectangular base that includes tilt, swivel, and height adjustments, though it lacks native portrait rotation. The device is priced at approximately €749 in Europe and $699 in the United States.
