Alif Laila Book Bus Society to launch horse-driven library in Lahore

The Alif Laila Book Bus Society is developing the ‘Tonga Library’, a project intended to be the world’s first horse-driven library. The initiative aims to foster a public culture of reading for pleasure, specifically targeting high-population areas with low literacy rates in Lahore, Pakistan.

The project team, including Sana Yazdani and Muhammad Kashif, designed the concept to utilize a horse-drawn carriage to evoke a sense of heritage and community while delivering books to local residents.
