Alifornia season 2 to premiere on Television Tokyo

The situation comedy series ‘Alifornia season 2’ is scheduled to begin broadcasting on Television Tokyo starting September 9. The four-episode series continues its allegorical exploration of modern loneliness and stagnation through the surreal lens of an ant colony.

Teppei Arita returns as the lead character, Arita, a middle-aged unemployed ant who suddenly begins producing oil from his body. The cast includes Tatsuya Fukasawa (Snow Man), Mogura Suzuki (Kuuki Kaidan), and Usagi (Long Coat Daddy). The plot involves themes of oil-based wealth, romance, and legal disputes within the colony.

Kentaro Ito will appear as a special guest in the second episode, playing a male ant named Bachaeri who causes turmoil among the female ants in the nest. Additional guest stars for the third and fourth episodes are to be announced at a later date.
