Aliko Dangote promotes refinery IPO in New York Times Square

Billionaire industrialist Aliko Dangote and Afrobeats artist Davido appeared in New York City’s Times Square to promote the initial public offering (IPO) for the Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals.

The campaign, held during the United Nations General Assembly week, utilized a massive digital billboard to showcase the refinery project. The offering aims to provide retail investors with the opportunity to own shares in the Lekki-based refinery.

The public offer involves 4.1 billion ordinary shares priced at ₦525 per share. The subscription period is scheduled to run from September 14 through October 13, 2026, with a minimum subscription threshold of 10 shares (₦5,250).
