Alimentation Couche‑Tard rebrands Holiday convenience stores to Circle K in Minnesota
The Holiday convenience‑store brand, originally founded in the 1930s and later owned by SuperAmerica, was acquired by Alimentation Couche‑Tard (the parent of Circle K) in July 2017. After initially retaining the Holiday name, the company began a systematic rebranding in 2022, converting Holiday locations to Circle K.
In central Minnesota, the Clearwater Holiday and the Sartell Holiday were the latest to switch to Circle K, with signage changes on canopies and pumps already visible. The rebranding rollout is expected to continue to nearby Royalton and St. Cloud stores, which already carry Circle K products inside.
The transition affects more than 500 former Holiday outlets that once spanned ten U.S. states, reflecting a broader consolidation of the convenience‑store market under the Circle K banner.
