Alimenterre Festival celebrates 20th edition in France

The 20th edition of the Alimenterre Festival is taking place across France from October 15 to November 30, 2026. The event focuses on collective reflection regarding food systems, agriculture, and international solidarity through documentary screenings and public debates.

In Le Bar sur Loup, the municipality will host four screenings in November, covering topics such as the role of women in agriculture, water management challenges, the impact of agrochemicals on biodiversity, and the daily lives of livestock farmers.

In the Baronnies region, the Communauté de Communes du Plateau de Lannemezan is organizing a day dedicated to sustainable agriculture on October 22. The program includes a guided hike to meet local producers and the launch of the ‘Sentier alimentaire’ project, which examines food and water management issues along the Neste d’Aure and Gers river basins. The day will conclude in Tilhouse with a local product tasting and a screening of the documentary ‘Être(s) Vivants – Interroger nos liens’, which explores the relationships between humans and animals.
