Alis Catalán Araya appointed director of Valparaíso–San Antonio Health Service
President José Antonio Kast has appointed Alis Rossana Catalán Araya as the new director of the Valparaíso–San Antonio Health Service. The appointment follows a selection process conducted through the High Public Management System.
Catalán Araya is a commercial engineer and business administration graduate from the University of Valparaíso, with additional qualifications as an auditor from Duoc UC and a Master’s in Business Administration from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso. Her professional background is heavily focused on public health management, hospital administration, and healthcare network integration.
Her previous leadership roles include serving as the Director of the Dr. Franco Ravera Zunino Regional Hospital in Rancagua and as the head of the Supply Management and Distribution Unit at the Dr. Gustavo Fricke Hospital. She has also held administrative sub-director positions at the San Juan de Dios Hospital, the Viña del Mar–Quillota Health Service, and the Carlos Van Buren Hospital.
