Alisha Palmowski wins 2026 F1 Academy championship

Alisha Palmowski has secured the 2026 F1 Academy championship following the race weekend at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin. The British driver, representing Campos Racing, clinched the title after a strong performance in the reverse-grid race where she finished second after starting eighth.

In the feature race, Nina Gademan claimed her second victory of the season. Gademan took the lead from the start and managed to hold off Payton Westcott, who finished second, and Granada, who secured her first feature race podium. The race was marked by a late collision that eliminated both Palmowski and Alba Larsen from contention.

Larsen, who had secured her first F1 Academy victory during Saturday's race, was unable to maintain her position following the incident. Additionally, Swedish wild card Alexia Danielsson was unable to compete in the final race due to a wrist injury sustained during a first-lap crash on Saturday.
