Alison Hammond recovers after live TV health scare

Television presenter Alison Hammond has reassured fans that she is safe and recovering after a health scare during a live broadcast of ITV’s ‘This Morning’ on Friday, October 2.

During a segment about pets, Hammond was seen clutching her chest and appearing to struggle with her breathing before being assisted off the set by co-host Dermot O’Leary. Following the incident, Hammond was taken to the hospital for medical examinations.

In subsequent updates shared via Instagram, Hammond explained that she had experienced heart palpitations but later received the all-clear from medical professionals. She stated that tests on her heart, lungs, and bloodwork indicated she had suffered a ‘massive panic attack’ on live television.

Hammond expressed gratitude to the NHS staff and her colleagues at ‘This Morning’ for their support, noting that while the experience felt very real, she is now feeling much better and intends to take time to rest.
