Aliss Al Islam reported for suspect bowling action
Bangladesh mystery spinner Aliss Al Islam has been reported for a suspect bowling action following his One Day International (ODI) debut against Afghanistan in Sharjah. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed that match officials raised concerns regarding the legality of his action during the UAE Tri-Series match.
Under International Cricket Council (ICC) regulations, the 29-year-old must now undergo an independent assessment at an ICC-accredited testing centre. The evaluation will determine if his elbow extension exceeds the permitted 15-degree limit. Aliss is permitted to continue bowling in international cricket while the assessment is pending.
This is not the first time the spinner has faced scrutiny. Similar concerns were raised during the 2019 and 2025 Bangladesh Premier League seasons. Aliss recently broke into the national setup, having earned his maiden T20I cap earlier in October 2026 before making his ODI debut.
