Alisson Becker fined £8,000 for misconduct after Nottingham Forest match

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker has been fined £8,000 by the Football Association for misconduct following a Premier League match against Nottingham Forest on 29 August.

The sanction follows an incident where the Brazilian goalkeeper kicked the fourth official’s electronic board near the tunnel area after the final whistle. The outburst was reportedly triggered by a controversial penalty awarded against him during the 2-2 draw at Anfield.

An independent Premier League panel later reviewed the match incident and concluded that the decision to award the penalty was incorrect, with a narrow majority of three members voting against the on-field call. Alisson has accepted the charge of acting in an improper manner and the standard penalty.
