Alive Co., Ltd. hosts English summer school in Nagoya

Alive Co., Ltd., an English education provider based in Nagoya, Japan, conducted a multi-week summer school program for preschoolers and elementary students in August 2026. The curriculum, themed ‘ADVENTURE TO THE FUTURE: Move, Learn, and Create!’, utilized an interdisciplinary approach combining English language learning with science, sports, and art.

The second week of the program, titled ‘BODY & SENSE LAB’, focused on human anatomy and sensory perception. Students explored the mechanics of bones, muscles, and joints through physical activity and model making. The curriculum also covered the science of vision and the relationship between color and emotion, encouraging children to express their feelings through art.

The third week, ‘ANIMATION STUDIO’, transitioned from physical movement to creative expression. Students studied the mechanics of how images appear to move using tools like zoetropes and thaumatropes. The program culminated in a stop-motion animation project where children used clay and various props to create original stories, practicing problem-solving and teamwork in English.
