Alix Didier Fils-Aimé calls for political unity in Haiti
Haitian Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé has called on political parties to prioritize national unity and the country's superior interests to ensure political, economic, and security stability over the next five years. Speaking in Pétion-Ville on September 1, 2026, the Prime Minister attended the opening of open days organized by the Observatoire Citoyen pour l’Institutionnalisation de la Démocratie (OCID).
The event, which included Jacques Desrosiers, president of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP), aimed to strengthen the capacity of political parties to develop public policy programs tailored to the population's needs. As part of the initiative, the OCID introduced ‘Booster Mind Academy,’ a digital platform providing free training in politics, economics, and commerce to enhance the skills of political actors.
Fils-Aimé reaffirmed his government's commitment to supporting political parties and assisting the CEP in organizing upcoming elections. He emphasized that political actors must move past their differences to create an environment conducive to strengthening democratic institutions.
