Alix Didier Fils-Aimé reaffirms anti-corruption commitment in Haiti

Haitian Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé is facing significant domestic challenges regarding national security, upcoming elections, and corruption. During the 22nd anniversary of the Anti-Corruption Unit (ULCC), the Prime Minister reaffirmed the government's commitment to supporting the institution to strengthen the rule of law and public trust.

At the ceremony, ULCC Director General Goethie Varnelle Morency presented a three-year plan focused on enhancing governance, operational capacity, and investigative mechanisms. Fils-Aimé emphasized that corruption undermines national sovereignty and stated that “every act of impunity weakens the bond of trust between the State and its citizens.”

Beyond anti-corruption efforts, the administration faces scrutiny over electoral processes. Reports indicate a delay in the official publication of a referendum decree in Le Moniteur, 90 days after its promulgation. Additionally, the Prime Minister's diplomatic record is under observation as he prepares for upcoming international engagements, including the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
