Alix Didier Fils-Aimé visits Les Cayes to announce lower dialysis costs

Haitian Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé conducted a multi-day visit to the southern region, including Les Cayes, to engage with local authorities, religious leaders, and the population.

During his visit to the OFATMA Hospital dialysis service, the Prime Minister announced that the cost of a dialysis session has been reduced from 15,000 to 5,000 gourdes. He supervised the arrival of new equipment and supplies intended to improve care for patients with renal failure. Minister Sinal Bertrand also noted that additional equipment is expected to arrive soon to bolster the facility's capacity.

In addition to healthcare initiatives, the Prime Minister participated in the religious celebration of Notre-Dame de l’Assomption at the Les Cayes Cathedral. The solemn mass was led by Cardinal Chibly Langlois. The visit occurs amid national challenges involving security concerns, economic difficulties, and preparations for the electoral process.
