Alizee Ribolzi wins Under 19 World Rowing gold in single sculls

Alizee Ribolzi won the gold medal in the Under 19 women's single sculls at the World Rowing Championships in Plovdiv. The athlete, representing Canottieri Corgeno, dominated the 2,000-meter final with a time of 7:34.16, finishing six and a half seconds ahead of Switzerland's Leunig and eight point three seconds ahead of Greece's Mouratidou.

This victory marks Italy's first gold in the Under 19 women's single sculls in ten years, since Clara Guerra's win in Rotterdam. Ribolzi, who was also the European champion in May, credited her success to her training and the support of her coach, Paola Grizzetti.

In other results from the championships, Italy secured a silver medal in the mixed double sculls with Roberta Romani and Elia Bressan, finishing 1:33 behind the German duo Benz and Woelk.
