Alkami Technology launches sale process amid buyer interest

Digital banking software provider Alkami Technology announced it has formally started a sale process after receiving acquisition interest from private‑equity firms and strategic buyers. The move follows pressure from activist investor Jana Partners, which disclosed a 5.1% stake and argued the company’s shares were undervalued. Alkami, based in Plano, Texas, has a market value of about $2 billion and its stock has fallen roughly 15% over the past year.

In a separate development, Alkami partnered with data‑infrastructure firm Arkatechture to integrate Arkatechture’s Arkalytics platform with Alkami’s Data & Marketing Solution. The integration will cleanse, categorize and enrich transaction data for banks and credit unions, helping them improve data quality, accelerate decision‑making and drive revenue growth. Armstrong Bank’s EVP and CIO Nick Jones highlighted the partnership’s potential to give banks a clearer view of customer needs.
