Alkane Resources CEO sells $3.89 million in shares

Alkane Resources Ltd shares declined by over 4% during Friday trading following an announcement that Managing Director and CEO Nicholas Earner sold 2 million shares. The sale, valued at approximately $3.89 million at a price of $1.947 per share, was conducted on the market to meet personal tax obligations and other commitments.

Despite the sale, Earner maintains a significant stake in the company, holding over 4 million shares through related entities and nearly 3 million performance rights. This marks his first personal sale of Alkane shares since 2020.

The stock decline occurred amidst broader volatility on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), where mining stocks faced pressure. Alkane’s recent financial performance showed significant growth, with FY26 revenue increasing 257% to $935.8 million and net profit after tax rising to $228.7 million.
