Alkimia Interactive rolls out Gothic Remake patch 1.0.4

Alkimia Interactive released patch 1.0.4 for the Gothic Remake PC version after nearly a month of waiting. The update addresses a wide range of issues, including quest bugs, balance adjustments to armor and weapons, optimization and sound improvements, and logical errors such as a broken Bestiarius 5 quest. It also changes how the map to the Old Mine is obtained, allowing purchase from Fortuno in chapter 3, and fixes numerous UI and animation glitches.

A separate console update, version 1.000.012, was also pushed out, bringing the same core fixes to PlayStation and Xbox platforms. The console patch resolves crashes, dialog blockers, audio problems, weapon‑reload anomalies, XP‑earning inconsistencies, and several gameplay bugs, while restoring tooltips for wearables and correcting trophy displays. Both updates aim to improve stability and player experience across all platforms.
