All Blacks coach Dave Rennie targets Bledisloe Cup recovery
All Blacks coach Dave Rennie aims to rectify the team’s recent performance following three consecutive losses to South Africa. While Rennie believes the squad is performing better than their recent results suggest, he emphasized the need to earn victories in the upcoming Bledisloe Cup series against the Wallabies.
Unlike South African coach Rassie Erasmus, who utilized significant squad rotation, Rennie intends to field his strongest possible lineup for the two-match series. The matches are scheduled for October 10 at Eden Park in Auckland and a week later at Stadium Australia in Sydney.
The New Zealand squad will face challenges including the absence of captain Ardie Savea, who is sidelined following shoulder surgery, and injured flyhalf Ruben Love. The series follows a strong run for the Wallabies, who remain unbeaten in five Tests under coach Les Kiss.
