All Blacks midfielder Jordie Barrett ruled out of Bledisloe Cup Test
The All Blacks have suffered a significant injury setback ahead of their Bledisloe Cup Test against Australia in Sydney. Midfielder Jordie Barrett has been ruled out of the match at Accor Stadium due to a calf injury that persisted following New Zealand’s 50-19 victory over the Wallabies in Auckland.
Barrett’s withdrawal forces head coach Dave Rennie to reshuffle the lineup. Timoci Tavatavanawai will move into the starting XV, while Chay Fihaki joins the bench and may earn a Test debut. This loss adds to a growing list of unavailable players for New Zealand, which already includes Ethan Blackadder, Richie Mo'unga, and Fehi Fineanganofo.
The Wallabies are also facing personnel challenges, with flyhalf Ben Donaldson and Len Ikitau ruled out of the rematch. Declan Meredith is expected to step in at flyhalf for Australia.
