All India Tennis Association rolls out digital platform and reforms constitution

The All India Tennis Association (AITA) partnered with World Tennis Number to launch a comprehensive digital platform and a new website on 15 August. The system integrates players, academies, coaches and officials on a single web‑ and mobile‑based ecosystem, enabling online registration, tournament entry and withdrawals. Future phases will add automated draws, electronic orders of play, live results and weekly national and World Tennis Number rankings.

On 26 July, AITA convened an extraordinary general meeting to amend its constitution in line with India’s National Sports Governance Act. Court‑appointed administrator Justice (retd.) Gita Mittal proposed cutting state‑association voting strength, expanding seats for Sportspersons of Outstanding Merit and debating voting rights for associate members. The revised constitution will govern elections for a new executive committee slated for 30 September, a process closely monitored by the International Tennis Federation for compliance with global standards.
