All Japan Pro Wrestling opens 13th Odo Tournament in Shinagawa
All Japan Pro Wrestling opened its 13th Odo Tournament at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel Stella Ball. In the opening round, Triple Crown Heavyweight Champion Kento Miyahara defeated Hyuga Ogawa of the Uptown stable. Despite Miyahara's prediction of a one-minute victory, Ogawa provided a competitive performance, nearly securing a count-two before Miyahara ultimately finished the match with a Shutdown Suplex Hold.
Following the match, Miyahara praised the rookie's performance, stating that Ogawa's heart was evident to the audience and that he had officially “remembered” his name. Ogawa expressed his ambition to become a superstar and eventually surpass Miyahara.
In a separate development regarding the tournament, Yuma Aoyagi discussed his strategic goals for the competition. Aoyagi, participating in his tenth consecutive tournament, stated his intention to win to allow fellow wrestlers such as the Saito Brothers and Yuma Anzai to focus more on their entertainment and media activities, which he believes are vital for attracting new fans to the promotion.
